Are You Each Other's Best Friend

Notes From Dad

Being in a relationship involves commitment and friendship. When you are dating there is no serious involvement; however, for a couple who are serious, there are some focal points that will solidify such an arrangement. This article will suggest some ideas and benefits to becoming each other’s best friend.

The idea of being your partner’s best friend may invoke laughter and/or cynicism. A best friend is someone who will listen to you and not judge; as your relationship builds you become more relaxed and feel free to share your thoughts and feelings; being yourself in a relationship is critical because you are not afraid nor uneasy in to speak your mine and/or opinion.

Many times when you were young, you might have had a best friend. Can you remember the arguments and fights you had? Most of the times those arguments etc. only lasted a few minutes- why- because you knew each other and realized how important you both were to one another. Well this happens in a serious relationship, where at times, your conflict may end up in a loving and possible intimate solution. It has been suggested that some couples fight just to make up.

Best friends will often share the same likes and dislikes. Whether it is the type of food, a theatre genre or style of clothing, you both feel comfortable with each other’s choices. It’s important to accept the fact that not always will your likes and dislikes be the same but having the inner love for one another will make it easier and provide a stable and happy relationship.

Finally, the love and intimacy you share with your partner may be stronger and more satisfying for you both. Best friends who share intimacy may enjoy better sex, greater friendship and a long lasting commitment and relationship.

Good Luck !!
