Couples and Loving Wishes
Notes From Dad
Couples and Loving Wishes
As the new year comes to an end I spent some time surveying what wishes couples wanted for the new year. The following article will narrate some of their responses and maybe offer a suggestion for other couples to welcome in the new year.
One of the wishes that was very thoughtful was a couple who wanted each day to end with a hug and kiss no matter what the circumstances were; this couple were in the late 60’s and seemed very much in love. I asked why that wish was important and they replied that the kiss and hug was a sign from each other, that their love is more important than any other feeling that surrounded their world.
The next couple, married for about ten years, wanted to wish for a closer friendship; friendship in a marriage is important because you hope that your partner can become your best friend and confident. When two people become best friends it not only makes a partnership your priority it also secures the possibility of an everlasting relationship.
The third couple that I met, wished for peace and understanding in the world. They had been affected by the poor choices of others. This couple would love to see the world full of happiness and comfort, and no longer fear for their children.
The last couple's wish was a unique and wonderful wish; they wished for a journey that took them down a road of good fortune, nothing spectacular, but a meaningful relationship that produces respect, trust and unconditional love.
The above couple’s wishes are a wonderful and thoughtful way to enter the new year. I also would like to offer my wishes; on behalf of my wife and my family, our wish is for all couples to enjoy each day, acknowledge that life will sometimes not go as planned, communicate your feelings and understand it requires two people to make a partnership work.
Good Luck !!
