The Road to a Happy Relationship

Notes From Dad

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aThere are many roads in life we all choose, however, one of the most important roads is the one which leads to a happy relationship. Some roads are smooth and some are bumpy; this article will attempt to focus on taking the smooth road and avoiding the bumpy road.

When choosing a smooth road, first identify what is important to your needs, values and wants; by doing this it helps set the groundwork for your happiness. Some needs can be emotional support, communication and honesty. As you begin paving your road, remember to take small steps and look for signs that bring happiness into your life. Some signs may be laughter, kindness and physical attraction. As your road travels on you may want to look for even more important aspects such as how well you both communicate, how safe you feel and how your future together will bring love and happiness.

Values play an important role in all relationships. Most values are formed from family modeling; values such as honesty, lifestyle, family and one’s own self confidence can shape how you and your partner approach each day.

Wants can be tricky; some are needed while some are not. Remember a want is usually some form of desire you alone may feel you need but offers nothing meaningful to the relationship.

Roads that are best avoided are the type that offer little to no interrelationship. Three particular ones to avoid are:

  1. Comparing your life and partner to others. First, be happy with who and what you have. Appreciate the little things that at times may go unnoticed and build a positive relationship that is give and take.

  2. Don’t treat a relationship as a game; by this I mean try to avoid anger, moodiness and even threats when things do not go as planned; instead work together to solve an issue and treat one another as an important part of your life.

  3. Don't be afraid to be yourself; the old saying is so true “what you see is what you get”.

In closing, try to remember that all roads have twists and turns but by going slowly and appreciating what you have may lead you down the right road to happiness.

Good Luck !!liqua. Ut enim ad minim veniam, quis nostrud exercitation ullamco laboris nisi ut aliquip ex ea commodo consequat.
