True Love for Couples

Notes From Dad

True Love for Couples

This time of year can be difficult. Everywhere we look there are ads for partners to show their love towards one another, via cards, flowers, and candy. It’s so easy to get caught up in the romantics that we sometimes do not realize the true meaning of love.

True love can be different for all of us; We all at one time or another feel we have found the perfect match and for some lucky couples that may have happened, yet many of us are not quite that fortunate. This article will attempt to communicate what true love feels like and how to make it last.

True love is destiny knocking at your door. It allows you to be independent and not have to worry about a jealous partner; you are able to feel confident that you and your partner have a bond that is built on trust and respect. When a relationship begins this way there is more likely that you both will enjoy one another’s closeness.

When a couple declares their feelings as true love they are saying they feel safe and content in their relationship. You each have given to one another the freedom and opportunity to show what unconditional love can be.

True love is not about emotions of the heart it is about how the two of you know one another. Together you share common goals and beliefs; you both realize that to stay in love it takes a commitment which at times means putting your feelings aside and allowing your partner’s feelings to come first, not an easy task sometimes but necessary if you wish to preserve your life together.

Some key points to remember when you feel you are in true love;

  • Accept and overlook one’s faults.

  • Avoid jealousy of friends and co-workers.

  • Never stay mad at one another for a long period.

  • Work on your relationship by building trust.

  • Your partner is your soulmate.

Remember love is not a feeling but an opportunity for happiness. Good Luck!!
