Balancing Your Relationship
Notes From Dad
In the early onset of your relationship there probably was no need to worry about balancing your time together, however, as your relationship evolves it will become a life skill to you both that may provide some benefits.
Think of your relationship as a three-part progression; emotional, physical and mental. This article will suggest certain ways to balance each other and maintain a loving partnership.
Emotional balance is all about feelings; knowing what and when to say a certain feeling. In the emotional state of being, remember that life will not always be perfect and through communication with your partner problems can be lessened or even resolved. You and your partner need to make each not only feel importanted but wanted; share feelings through notes, gestures and recognition of how important they are and can be.
The physical balance at first can provide all the feelings of love; the wanting, the caressing and the attention being given to one another may feel like nothing else you and your partner have experienced. Sadly, after a certain point in time, the desires and attention tend to disappear. This where you and your partner need to sit down and discuss ways and means that will maintain a healthy and satisfying level.
The last balance is the mental aspect of a relationship, in my opinion the most important one because it first starts with you understanding who you are and what you need to do to become a loving partner. Nowadays people are experiencing more mental issues than ever; anxiety, depression and hardships are taking their toll on couples. To balance such feelings, you or your partner must first acknowledge that a mental problem exists, second how should it be dealt with, perhaps therapy or medication and third trust in your partner that will give you the support and help you need.
Finally, a healthy balance is attainable for everyone but it takes work, patience and the willingness to be committed in your relationship.
Good Luck !!
