You have waited for this moment since you both agreed to marry, and choosing a venue is the one decision that will have the largest impact on your event. There are several important aspects to keep in mind.

First, choose a place you and your family can afford. Venues can be very expensive but if you start early you can secure one for a reasonable price.

Second, select a place that is easy to get to and is a close proximity to all. Keep in mind that some people will be driving long distances and may need a hotel nearby.

Third, how many people are being invited and what is the minimum/maximum capacity the venue can accommodate. Check out the fire and safety codes that exists and make sure the codes are all up to date.

Fourth, do research. Ask to see past wedding parties and question their knowledge and experience,. Ask for references because a poor venue can leave a lasting impression on your guests.

Finally, it’s true, people will talk about the appetizers and main dish. This can be the fun part where you can ask to sample the food. Remember, some people are allergic to certain foods so have a alternative for those restrictions.

These few suggestions can bring smile to your guests and create lasting memories for years to come.
