Men's Ring Size Chart
Dude! What is my Ring Size?!?!
We here at Manly Bands carry standard US men's ring sizes, however many of our rings are "comfort fit," which can tend to fit a little bigger. We have not been happy with the online ring sizing tools we have found, so while yes you can google and find some instructions on the interwebs for "how to measure your ring size"...we really do not recommend this route. It almost always ends in utter failure and frustration. Here are some good options for getting it right-
1. Measure your ring size at home using The Manly Ring Sizer! It's only $13 (with free shipping) and you get a discount on your future ring purchase - so it ends up being well worth it. Not to toot our own horn, but truthfully, we have found this to be the best method to measure a few times at different times of the day (after workout, upon waking, when hands are cold) to ensure you have the right size. Our hands can bloat up and slim down depending on diet and environment up to a size and a half over the course of the day, so with the sizer, you can take the rings off the chain and get a good average of what feels good. What you want is the smallest ring that feels good. You want to have to twist it a little to get it over your knuckle. Otherwise it'll slide off every time you wash your hands!
2. Go to a local jeweler to get professionally sized. Do this at least twice, at different times of the day, to be sure you have it right. Scroll down for tips on this.

5. If you have already been sized by a jeweler, we recommend the following:
Disclaimer: the below works about 80% of the time. It is a guide, not a guarantee. Getting our ring sizer or getting sized by a jeweler for comfort fit (in the width you would like) are your best options to hit a slam dunk on sizing.
-For 6mm Comfort fit rings, order a half size down from your standard size
-For 8mm Comfort fit rings, order your true standard size
**If you've ordered a Founder's or Custom line ring, our sizing gurus will help you make the best call so just tell them what feels good in the sizer**
6. ALWAYS ALWAYS try on your ring BEFORE the wedding. We promise it is NOT bad luck. You want there to be a little resistance in taking it off - you should have to twist it a little to get it over your knuckle. No one likes to lose their ring on their honeymoon in the ocean cause it's too big :)
Exchanging Size Help!
If you need to exchange sizes but don't know what size to get, we've got you covered-
IT'S TOO BIG:
- If you shake your hand, does the ring come flying off? Head to a jeweler to get resized or grab a Manly Ring Sizer. You are at least a whole size off, if not more.
- If you shake your hand does it stay on (does not cross over the knuckle)? exchange for a half size down and it should be perfect.
IT'S TOO SMALL:
- If it is too snug but you can get it over your knuckle, go a half size up.
- If it is too snug, but you cannot get it over your knuckle, you will need to get sized again. Try the Manly Ring Sizer, to do it at home or head to the local jeweler to be sized.
How to get the most out of your sizing with the Local Jeweler
Any jeweler in the mall will size you, so grab an Orange Julius and make it a date! Doing this in conjunction with the ring sizer, while not required, covers all bases.
While at a local jeweler, do the following to get your most true size:
1. Get your standard size. They will size you with a very thin sizing band. However, when you add width to a ring, it changes the fit.
2. Try on some rings to understand which width you like.
3. Try on comfort fit rings and standard size rings in the widths you like (6mm, 8mm).
4. Now it's time for the age old question - boxers or briefs? Wanna spin your ring around or do you like a snug fit? Make sure whatever you choose works with your fav size and width.
-For 6mm Comfort fit rings, order a half size down from your standard size
-For 8mm Comfort fit rings, order your true standard size
That's it! You're now fully educated on what size and width you should order :)
