Couples and Holidays
Couples and Holidays
It's almost here, that certain time of year when we all have the opportunity to have some fun decorating and being with family. Let's take a look at the holidays that we will be celebrating in the next few months.
Halloween, or though not recognized officially as a legal holiday, it is still celebrated all over the world. As a couple, it is when you both get the chance to display your uniqueness and talents. Whether it be decorating outside, hosting a spooky party or just baking up some bewitching treats, Halloween is the perfect time for you and your partner to snuggle up together and watch a scary movie. Have fun and don’t forget the popcorn.
The next holiday, as a couple, will be Thanksgiving. This holiday is all about cooking and spending time with your family. Cooking certain dishes, such as Grandma’s apple pie, is only made this time of year. As a couple you may want to establish your own special dish that may become a tradition, or sample the enormous amount of food that is being offered, for Thanksgiving is the one true holiday that we have permission to eat what we want and eat till we are satisfied.
A tricky part of Thanksgiving, as a couple, is visiting family. Whose family, how long do you stay and what to bring. As a couple you may want to initiate this idea in your relationship; each year, take turns visiting each other’s family; by doing this you are limiting the stress and hurt feelings that could happen.
The last holiday to celebrate as a couple is Christmas. This holiday is all about sharing and once again showing your creativity. It may be making homemade gifts, ornaments or decorating the house, Christmas brings a certain flavor of love and happiness. A real loving tradition is the picking of the tree, especially on a chilly and snowy night. Decorating it with ornaments you make together and hopefully keep forever. Christmas is another chance to show your talents through cooking, whether it be a traditional treat or some homemade recipe that is your favorite. This holiday has so many wonderful movies for you and your partner, that makes you appreciate what you have and gives us all an opportunity to make others happy.
So enjoy the times ahead with your partner, family and friends and as always; Good Luck !!
