Fall Weddings

It is that time of year when the days are getting shorter and the air cooler. A time where the beauty of nature and hearts bloom. Couples who marry in the Fall may do so because Fall is one of the most popular seasons. Fall, especially in October, brings beautiful colors outdoors to enhance your photos and to wow your guests. For those who have planned a Fall wedding the nerves and anxieties are beginning to kick in; for in a few weeks your life will change. This is the time of year where the magic begins to flow with the holiday season from Halloween to Thanksgiving and a few weeks of pre-Christmas. Let’s take a look at Fall weddings and what is necessary to consider.

Colors- After a hot and muggy summer it’s time to enjoy cooler temps and gorgeous foliage. Colors, such as bright orange, peach, brown and mauve are all colors that signify a new season and can be exciting and eloquent.

Flowers- A favorite of mine are mums and pansies. These flowers are easy to find, not very expensive and are very colorful. Pansies are a symbol of happiness and cheerfulness. Some other popular flowers are the Chrysanthemum, which relates to fidelity, joy and long life. the Dahlia is a nice choice as it’s a symbol of a commitment and love that lasts forever and finally Lilies, in particular, the Asiatic Lily, and Calla Lilies,

Food- The smell of spices, pumpkin and apples can be breathtaking. Fall is a good time to offer soups such as butternut squash, potato Leek and hot tomato. Keep the menu simple; Lamb and Pork are among the most popular dishes served, with a glazed vegetables and some type of mash potato, such as red bliss or garlic mashed.

Ideas for desserts are delicious and plentiful; from the wedding cake to all sorts of pies, cupcakes etc, you cannot go wrong. Remember The menu you and your partner choose will set the tone for the day.

Good Luck!!
