Is a person’s character really important in your relationship? I did a survey and 8/10 people said yes. There are many different types of people who have all sorts of character traits, your job is to be with someone who matches your character. For today’s article let’s look at several types of characteristics and how each may affect your life.

One important ingredient in any relationship is respect; for yourself, your partner and others. Respect, basically is all about acceptance; respect is a building block for a solid relationship, it encompasses feelings of security, comfort and contentment. It’s how you treat someone/something; it's important to remember that respect is earned not just given.

Another important part of one’s character is honesty; honesty means being upfront and open with your partner; it means you are able to express openly your feelings of anger, disappointment, happiness and not be judged by your partner. Honesty takes time to develop in any type of relationship but once it has been seeded the rewards are great.

One couple told me that a characteristic they most admired was how to argue; some arguments can be mean and degrading; some hurtful and others a waste of time. However, arguing is another essence of passion and shows that you both are committed and breathes an awareness to an unpleasant situation.

Finally, the last characteristic is true love; this emotion sends signals to mind and heart. Your world is empathy when they are not with you, you are willing to make sacrifices for them, and they bring out the best in you. True love is an appreciation of having your partner share life’s journey and a bonding that hopefully lasts forever.

Good Luck !!
