Are You Taken for Granted?
I am going to assume that at one time, everyone may have experienced this unpleasant feeling. It’s surprising that it happens to more people that are in a relationship.
The question to ask is why this happens and what can you do about it. This article will look at some situations that are taken for granted and how to resolve them.
Curiously, if we incorporate the five senses into our relationship we may find that instead of taking our partner for granted we can actually give them the love and support that is necessary in the interconnection.
Let’s begin with touch: A gentle caress to one’s face, a hug or even a kiss can bring positive vibes to your lives. Touching is a non-verbal means of communication that, if done during good and bad times may help bring a couple closer together.
Eyesight: one main thing that could prevent being taken for granted is eye contact; eye contact, meaning given direct attention, shows you are listening; the longer you stare releases signs of attraction and interest, and we all want to feel attractive. Having our partner speak with their eyes is not only romantic but sexually charged as well.
The next sense is smell: millions of dollars are spent every year on making people smell good. There are some products that when wearing will make you appreciate your partner more and look forward to breathing in their scent. Studies have shown that the way a person smells may lead to a more intense physical attraction.
Taste, is the fourth sense that can be flirty and fun and shows your partner you want to be part of their world. The way you kiss, however, taste also reveals your likes and preferable activities that can bring a relationship to a higher ground.
The final sense is hearing; you may ask how hearing can be taken for granted; when your partner is not paying attention to you, you may feel unimportant and that your relationship is only on their terms. Correct this by sitting down with your partner and together focus on the conversation.
These are just some examples, the most important thing to remember is to appreciate your partner at all times!
Good Luck !!
