Couples Holiday Outings

Notes From Dad

Couples Holiday Outings

No other time of year is it more fitting for couples to enjoy some magical outings. During this holiday season take advantage of nature’s offering and frolic in a romantic setting that will melt not only your hearts but bring your relationship to a higher level. This article will focus on some simple to extravagant holiday intimation.

Short on cash is usually common this time of year so here are three awesome adventures you and your partner explore for little or no money. The first one deals with shopping. Shopping together can be fun, however, try to escape away from the major city and malls so that the expedition is more personal and less chaotic. The second escape could be down memory lane, in which, you visit your old school and maybe take in a basketball or hockey game. The third idea could be to throw a small dinner party with some close friends and gather around the table and sing holiday songs together.

Want to make it a little more involved then may I suggest the following outings. Sledding- this can be done right in one’s own back yard or a hill; all you need is a sled (i.e. cardboard, cake pan and/or plastic container). just remember to dress accordingly and use a helmet. Skating is a sport that can involve much physical contact and a lot of laughs, especially if you have a balance problem. Baking is one of my favorites because you revisit past memories, try out old recipes and get that inner feeling of love knowing your efforts will be appreciated by all.

Lastly, for more lavish outings, I suggest these 2 activities; Travel- either in or out of the states. Getting away during the holidays is the perfect way to continue to bond and explore one another. Second, enjoy a public performance, such as the theatre production of Scrooge and/or the Nutcracker. There is something magical and beautiful when preparing for the theatre. It empowers you both to express one’s character and love for the Arts.

Enjoy your time and Happy Holidays!
