Couples New Years Resolutions
It’s that time of year when we say goodbye to the old resolutions and make new ones for 2020. Hopefully, everyone this new year will take the time to reflect and together as a couple make new resolutions that will focus on one another and family. This article will focus on some ideas that will welcome in 2020.
One way to think of new resolutions is to look at your basic needs. Time spent together should be a top priority. Try to think of ideas that as a couple will bring you closer, such as exercising; join a gym together, take walks on the beach and enjoy intimacy with each other, at least once a week (a great way to burn calories).
Another idea is to set a limit and place with technology. Have you noticed when couples go out, especially at dinner both are on phones either texting or checking out Facebook etc. Don’t allow a tiny device to steal magical moments from each other. Compromise how long and where you both can use your phones to communicate with others.
A third idea is to share common goals that will build your relationship; could be saving money, losing weight and/or plan a romantic getaway for the two of you.
Finally the best idea is to show and give respect to one another. This can be done in several ways; listen to your partner, show empathy and create a positive atmosphere in which there is less criticizing and more praise. Be their best friend and face life together.
