Every Couple Needs a Wingperson.
Notes From Dad
Today, more than ever, a couple definitely can benefit by having a wingperson; exactly what such a person is, well simply put, it is someone who always has your back.
This article will look at ways that couples can benefit from having such a person in their lives.
Once again, let’s examine what a wingperson is; in a relationship it’s your partner's ability to offer and give support to the other partner. A wingperson may have many skills that can be helpful in a relationship; such as good communication, confidence and interpersonal skills.
Let’s first look at communication. When communicating with your partner it’s important that when you communicate there is a connection between the two of you, sometimes it may be non-verbal while other times it is verbal. One key component in communication is to listen and make eye contact. When done correctly it helps clarify an issue and make it easier to offer support.
The second role of a wingperson is to be confident; A partner who is confident is showing trust in their relationship. They understand feelings and are not afraid of sharing them. The partner who exhibits this type of confidence is usually a positive person and by being with them, your confidence can also lead to positivity in your relationship.
Finally, there are the interpersonal skills; these skills involve all areas of one’s life. Partners having these skills illicit strength in dealing with people and how to avoid conflicts. The most important role in this skill is to understand not only you but the situation that may occur.
Finally, in finding your wingperson, take your time and bond with that person. Understanding a wingperson is there for you and needs to gain your trust and respect so choose wisely and always remember to be honest with them and yourself.
Good Luck !!
