Signs That Your Relationship Maybe Going Flat
Notes From Dad
Most couples tend not to want to acknowledge this fact, however, in most relationships there comes a time when the feelings toward one another may change. Some may call it boredom, loss of interest and/or lack of caring; whatever your description, it could happen to you. This article will focus on the positives and how to keep your relationship from going flat.
First, let’s examine some concerns why relationships tend to become flat; one of the first reasons is there is no longer excitement. The thrill of your partner coming home becomes routine and bland. To fix this, surprise your partner with visual effects that make you eager to get home; maybe in your style of dress, or perhaps a romantic dinner or even a romantic massage, nothing makes a couple more close than showing you are there for one another.
Next, let’s take a look at how spending quality time together can avoid flatness. Quality time is showing the appreciation of your time together. The both of you focus on one another; no cellphones, no electronics, just becoming more connected in a way that proves the importance of each other. Quality time is all about you and them; both of you want to feel that special “feeling”, without this happening, the foundation begins to crack and both of you no longer feel important.
Finally, the last way to avoid flatness is to identify and recognize that in any relationship there are emotional pitfalls; by this I mean, the drama, impatience and lack of trust; to avoid these pitfalls, there needs to be some level of empathy. Notice, in empathy, you are giving your partner, your full attention, offering a listening ear and perhaps a different point of view. Empathy shows your partner you care and understand that you're there for them.
The above three examples do not guarantee your relationship won't stagnate, but hopefully the above three suggestions will help you and your partner avoid a relationship meltdown.
Good Luck !!
