Notes From Dad: Winter Memories In The Northeast

Wedding Tips

One of the nice parts of being married is creating memories.  As we say goodbye to 2018 and welcome in 2019, we look to create new memories.

Depending on where you live this is a wonderful time to begin new adventures and create fun and lasting reflections. This article will suggest some ideas to help make the winter blues a more productive and bonding experience with your partner in the Northeast.

The Northeast is packed with fun and adventure. Take advantage of the cold and chilling temperatures and venture out to some skating.  A real romantic spot for skating is in New York, Rockefeller Center, however, many towns have skating rinks and arenas that will suit your purpose.

Up north in New Hampshire, a great activity besides skiing, is hiking, there are dozens of trails and you can choose the distance and difficulty level.

If you are like me, plan a weekend getaway at a cozy lodge or cabin up North and rekindle the flame with a warm beverage snuggled up in front of a fire, then the next day visit one of nature’s most beautiful artwork, a  frozen waterfall. The beauty and colored crystals is a sight to behold.

Finally, many memories are made just walking hand and hand, in one’s own neighborhood, making new friends, going sledding, tobogganing ,but whatever you decide remember your goal is to create memories with your partner so when 2019 is over you can look back and smile.

Our country is rich in creating such memories. Next article will look at the Midwest and South and the great adventures that await you there.
