Everybody's Honeymooning For The Weekend:

Wedding Tips

We see you've returned, oh handsome and manly Brobarian. And from the look on your face, you aren't here for the humor… Or at least, not entirely here for the humor. We get it. Just because you're on a mission, doesn't mean you don't want to get your laugh on. Ok, try this one on: A horse, a neurosurgeon, and an anthropomorphic cucumber walk into a fast food joint, and…

What?... Oh, yeah, right. You're on a mission. You read our post on Summer Honeymoon destinations, and got all excited… Until you realized your manly job (and other manly obligations of manliness) won't allow you to take a whole week off at this juncture. But, you are still a man of refined tastes, a strong sense of adventure, and need a Honeymoon filled with luxury and thrills (to go with your awesome selection from our Founder's Line, of course.)

Alright bro, sit back, and let us wow you with our top picks of Amazing Weekend Vacation Destinations!

Wagons, East!

We know what you're thinking bro: "Oh great, Manly Bands is starting on the East Coast, so obviously, they're going to recommend NYC. How original."

To which we say: "… Um… We aren't now!" frantic tapping of the Backspace key

Honestly, if you were in the market for a stellar weekend trip to celebrate your nuptials, and New York didn't pop up on your radar naturally, we'd be shocked. The "City That Never Sleeps" is filled with so many thrills, it doesn't need our endorsement.

You know who does?

Helen, GA.

No, seriously. This tiny little German themed town in northeast Georgia has a little bit of everything. For the warmer months (which are plentiful in the south), you can hit up one of the many tubing companies in town and spend a few hours lazily (or not so lazily if the water is moving quick) tubing down the Chattahoochee River. Or, you can grab a canoe/kayak if you're feeling more rambunctious. Not to mention the awesome Helen Water Park! Your options for getting wet and wild aren't just limited to your hotel room.

On top of that, you have one of the country's best selections of authentic German cuisine, a metric crapton of bars (all within walking distance of one another), Anna Ruby Falls (great for hiking), and more. Whether you feel like touring a vineyard, setting out on horseback, or just shopping your brains out at one of the dozens of amazing small shops in the area, your options are all just a short walk/carriage ride away… Just, don't forget your wallet… Unless you choose the tubing… Then, maybe leave it in the car… Trust us.

Getting Centered

"That's all well and good," you say, "but we live a little more west, and north. Georgia isn't exactly a quick weekend jaunt. What else you got?"

Rapid City, South Dakota?

… Oh, yeah. That name might not be too familiar for you. You might know it better by it's greatest monument: Mount Freaking Rushmore.

Yeah, we're going there. Because what better way to cheer on your new married status than to go rock climbing on the country's greatest monument to our greatest presidents! And yeah, there is a lot of hot National Park/hiking/outdoorsy stuff to do, but there's so much more. Check out Downtown Rapid City, and you'll be greeted by a stellar array of dining, shopping, and entertainment options. Where else in the country can you get such a mix of Small Town America/Big City Living/Patriotic Celebration/Natural Splendor? So, spend a few dollars, and go have a once in a lifetime experience with your new spouse!

West Side, Best Side

Alright broham. We've thrown you a couple off-the-wall options so far in this post, and now that we've made it to the West Coast, it's time to go with a tried and true favorite:

Sin City itself, Las Vegas.

If any city in this country just screams "Crazy Weekend," it's Vegas. The town is designed for tourists looking for a couple days of fun, luxury, and uncommon splendor. Hell, just booking your room alone should be enough to pamper you and yours for a couple nights.

And that's before you hit any of the casino floors for a bit of gambling, or any of the ten million over-the-top musical acts performing that week (or perhaps a Vegas Golden Knights hockey game? Because you're a man of refined tastes, who still loves a good old fashion hockey game breaking out at a fight.) Follow that up with dining options the likes of which you've never seen before, and your weekend splurge will be something to tell your great-grandchildren about. This is one weekend where a little planning can go a long way, but leaving open-ended time is a must. There's too much to do to list it all, so feel free to wing it once you check in!

(... Speaking of "making it your own," have you considered our Custom Line of Manly rings? Because nothing says "Manly" like a ring you designed yourself!)

We know, it just isn't fair to have to cut your special newlywed trip short. But if you and yours can't take a whole week off, don't fret. There are plenty of options for a quick, yet still fancy weekend alone. It's kind of like our Founder's Line, which offers classy and manly options on both ends of the luxurious spectrum. Whether you want to be a big spender, or a super-mega-high-roller spender, we have a ring, and a honeymoon suggestion, just for you.

See you next time, here at the Manly Band's Blog!
