Manly Bands Wants Your Girlfriend To Propose - Here's Why You'll Say "Yes"
Forbes- Joseph DeAcetis- 1/27/2020
When we talk about men’s rings I have one thing to say; man does not live by bread alone and neither does style only depend on clothes. In fact, it is the small rounded details that round off and refine the total look, many times even adding a very special and personal touch to your overall look. What I find appealing is that these small decorative items many times have minor details that reveal so much information about their owners. This is especially so if the meticulous care devoted to the selection of their clothes leads one to suppose that this same care went into the selection of their accessories.
“Man branding” isn’t an actual term, but after my interactions with this company, I’m ready to coin the phrase and add it to the dictionary.
Manly Bands is an online-only shop that prides itself in “saying no to boring wedding bands.” Just watch their promo video and you’ll see how the brand is keenly (and hilariously) geared toward men who feel a little clueless when it comes to wedding planning.

When Michelle Luchese and Johnathan Ruggiero decided to get married after seven years of dating, they were both excited to pick out their wedding rings — until they found out stores didn’t stock anything in Ruggiero’s size, and the rings that were available online started at $600 and were plain.
‘Geared to a millennial’s lifestyle’: Engagement and wedding rings have gone DTC
In 2015, Anubh Shah founded Four Mine, a direct-to-consumer engagement ring company as a “proof of concept.” Shah believed that the business of buying diamond engagement rings was ripe for a revamp, as people are not only now more comfortable purchasing big-ticket items online today, but they are looking for a more personalized experience that DTC brands can offer.
As the wedding industry goes DTC, ring company Manly Bands is rethinking its advertising strategy
You can get anything from direct-to-consumer companies these days — even wedding rings. Companies like Majesty Diamonds, Erstwhile Jewelry, With Clarity, Brilliant Earth and Vrai, among others, are pitching diamond engagement rings with Facebook and Instagram ads to target millennials who’d rather shop online than in jewelry stores.

When I was about 10 years old, I was lucky enough to get an old IBM AT computer for Christmas. This was before Windows, so as I remember, there was no “start” menu. Instead, you had to type specific commands to get around — for example, “DIR” to open the directory of files.
Grooms are passing up basic rings for macho wedding bands
New York Post- 8/23/2019
Dylan Haley says that in the months leading up to his wedding, his hunt for the perfect wedding ring got surprisingly frustrating.
Neither the prices, nor the styles, were right at the local stores, says the 26-year-old resident of Grand Forks, ND. “Men’s rings were close to what I paid for my wife’s ring, [and many had] diamonds, which was ridiculous.”
