The most popular online wedding ring brand for men is changing the way couples buy their wedding rings online and in store.
Lindon, Utah: Today, Manly Bands is announcing the grand opening of their first ever branded retail location in Utah. After disrupting the men’s ecommerce wedding ring industry, the company is now targeting customers in stores as pandemic restrictions loosen to allow more people to visit local shopping centers.
The store is located in University Place Shopping Mall in Orem, Utah and will open February 2nd at 10 am to the general public. As Utah has one of the youngest average ages of marriage in the country, it is the prime location for a modern wedding brand looking to attract younger couples.
Manly Bands was founded by Johnathan Ruggiero and Michelle Luchese after their own troubles shopping for a wedding ring in brick-and-mortar stores. While planning their own wedding they were disappointed by the limited styles and sizes available for men’s wedding bands. They decided to solve this problem, and what began as a Shopify store in their garage has grown into the most popular online wedding ring brand for men in under six years. Now, Manly Bands has taken the first step to disrupt the physical retail landscape with a store designed for modern couples who want an improved wedding ring buying experience.
“This is such an exciting time to be expanding our operations as a digital-first brand,” said Johnathan Ruggiero, Co-founder and Co-CEO of Manly Bands. “Manly Bands has already changed the way couples buy their wedding rings online and now we’re excited to bring our insights back to the world of physical retail.”
The design of the store reflects the brand image and the unique materials used in their most popular ring collections. It includes genuine Jack Daniel’s whiskey barrel tables, hardware tool chests to hold inventory and even a real T-Rex skull on display, similar to the fossils used in their Dinosaur Bone Collection.
“Manly Bands has excelled thanks to our ability to be flexible during tough times as well as our commitment to create the most accessible experience for buying a wedding band,” said Co-Founder and Co-CEO Michelle Luchese. “What we are looking to accomplish with this location is the human element that so many have been missing in the last few years. We can’t wait to show everyone our vision of the future for wedding jewelry retail.”
Shoppers will be able to browse most of the Manly Bands inventory in the store and will be able to order personalized rings from the full catalog with the help of store associates. Customers will also be able to take advantage of current promotions, including the current 20% discount sitewide.
Being named #388 on the Inc. 500, Manly Bands was one of the fastest-growing ecommerce companies in 2021, and has continued to dominate the online wedding ring category thanks to partnerships with Jack Daniel’s, the MLB and most recently Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC).
President of Manly Bands, Marshall Smith said, “Whereas brands like Tiffany’s, Jared and Zales started in physical stores and have tried to adapt to the digital world, Manly Bands was born digital-first and has succeeded by pushing the boundaries of online retail. We’re looking forward to seeing what innovations we can bring to the traditional brick-and-mortar wedding ring landscape.”
Visitors can find the Manly Bands store at University Place Shopping Mall, 575 E University Pkwy, in Orem, Utah. Store hours will be 10am-9pm MST Monday through Saturday, and closed on Sundays.
