Valentine's Day Ideas

2 minute read

February 14th is a day that we all have had some type of memory. Beginning in grade school, making cards for classmates and teachers’; then having our parents make goodies to share with our peers. This custom continues around the world each year with all types of precious gifts from flowers to jewelry, however, this is a day where we show love to our partner and should not be a day we go further in debt.

Let’s take a look at ten loving and inexpensive ways that say “I Love You”.

  1. Love notes scattered around the house that express all types of feelings you have.
  2. A bouquet of flowers that you can make by cutting out flower templates, coloring them and taping the parts together.
  3. Breakfast in bed- who does not like breakfast in bed; the most difficult part of this is the timing, so everything is hot.
  4. Create a poster full of memorable photos with loving captions written under each photo.
  5. At thrift stores but a plain white coffee mug then design the mug with name or flowers.
  6. Valentine’s Day Coupons which is giving a gift of service (i.e. making dinner, doing dishes or taking out the trash).
  7. Promise a date night where the plan is simple, soft music, movie and dinner.
  8. Make a card that shows how much love and respect you have for your partner; use words that illustrates what she/he mean to you.
  9. Plan a house picnic, where you and your partner lay down a blanket, sample some appetizers and cuddle in each others arms.
  10. Finally, remember that Valentine’s Day is for the one you love but just don’t wait for this day to show your love and affection, try to show your love to each other every day!
