MANLY BANDS MOVES HEADQUARTERS TO UTAH
-Unique Men’s Wedding Bands Retailer to Open ‘Man Cave’ Showroom and Warehouse-
Vineyard, UT – Manly Bands (manlybands.com), the nation’s leading online retailer of unique men’s wedding bands announced today it has relocated its headquarters to Utah and are opening a fulfillment warehouse and ‘man cave’ showroom in Vineyard. To celebrate their new commercial and the opening of the warehouse and showroom, Manly Bands founders Johnathan Ruggiero and Michelle Luchese are hosting a VIP and media open house on Tuesday, October 8 from noon to 2:30 PM.
The Manly Bands story is truly one of inspired entrepreneurship. After leaving their careers in Hollywood, Johnathan Ruggiero and Michelle Luchese decided to take on three of the most stressful life events at once – quit their jobs, get married and move across the country – all within 30 days. But call it luck, karma or fate – those decisions served as the impetus and inspiration for them to start their new business – Manly Bands.
While preparing for their wedding, Johnathan and Michelle went to a typical jewelry store to find a men’s wedding band. Much to their chagrin, they discovered the only men’s bands offered were plain gold or white gold bands that would have to be custom ordered and would take three weeks to arrive – and not in time for the wedding. “I’ll admit it, I have big fingers,” quipped Ruggiero. “I wear a size 16 ring, and surprise, the biggest size we could find in a store was a 12.”
That frustration became inspiration for Johnathan and Michelle. “We knew there must be thousands of men out there like Johnathan,” said Michelle Luchese, co-founder of Manly Bands. “Guys with big hands and fingers that could never find the perfect wedding band in a traditional jewelry store, plus they want a ring that fits their personality and style.”
Michelle and Johnathan founded Manly Bands out of their Florida garage in late 2016. Their first sale happened in November 2016, and business has exploded since then. Since its founding, Manly Bands has gained more than 70,000 loyal customers and now boasts over 40 thousand rings in 233 different styles – and are about to introduce another 40-50 styles.
The story of Manly Bands, Johnathan and Michelle’s move to Utah is just as unique as their founding. Late last year, Johnathan and Michelle moved from their home in Florida, bought an RV and explored the country (while still operating their business). Once they visited Utah, though, they knew they’d found where they wanted to permanently land and put down roots.
“We are definitely more mountains and lakes people than Florida beach,” remarked Johnathan. “Utah has been incredible so far and we are absolutely thrilled to build the Manly Bands brand here.”
“Johnathan and I can’t wait to get more involved in the community and create the Utah Manly Bands team,” Michelle said. Manly Bands plans to initially hire 10-15 people at its Vineyard location and then add more employees as the company grows. Manly Bands is proud to join a business community that has so many great companies such as Adobe, Blendtec, Bluehost, Omnniture, PowerQuest and Vivint to name a few. The team at Manly Bands say they have a couple of surprises for the new year.
