The Tennessee
What real customers say
Built to last. Loved for life.
Product Details
The Tennessee is built on Black Zirconium, a metal that's been heat-treated to develop a hard, charcoal-gray surface that's distinct from the painted or plated look of black tungsten or titanium. It's scratch-resistant and lightweight, giving serious durability without the weight of a heavier metal.
The wood inlay is sourced from authentic Jack Daniel's whiskey barrels — the same charred white oak used to age Tennessee whiskey. Because it's real wood, no two rings will look identical; natural grain patterns and subtle color shifts are part of what makes your ring one of a kind.
The second inlay features authenticated Triceratops dinosaur bone, a rare gembone (formally called agatized fossil bone) where ancient bone structure has been replaced by minerals over millions of years. Each piece carries a history that is 66+ million years old.
The inside of The Tennessee features a comfort-fit profile, meaning the inner surface is gently rounded rather than flat against your finger. This reduces pressure points and makes the ring noticeably easier to slide on and off, especially after a long day on the job.
The Tennessee has a flat, polished finish — the face sits parallel to your finger for a clean, modern silhouette, and the high-polish surface on the Black Zirconium brings out the contrast between the dark metal and the two inlays running through its center.
Clean The Tennessee with warm water and a mild soap, using a soft cloth — avoid ultrasonic cleaners, which can stress the wood and bone inlays. Keep it away from harsh chemicals like bleach or acetone, and store it separately from harder jewelry to protect the inlay surfaces. Both inlays are protected by an epoxy layer that is very durable, but can separate from the zirconium with prolonged submersion or moisture exposure.

The honest answers
Yes — the Triceratops bone used in The Tennessee is authenticated fossil material, excavated by our local paleontologist, and verified for authenticity. The bone is millions of years old and has been mineralized over time. Each piece is genuinely one-of-a-kind because no two fossils are exactly alike.
It is. The wood inlay is sourced directly from retired Jack Daniel's Tennessee whiskey barrels — the same oak barrels that aged the whiskey — as part of an official collaboration. You're wearing wood that held whiskey, not just wood stained to look the part.
Black zirconium is hard and scratch-resistant — significantly tougher than solid gold. Its charcoal color comes from a heat-treated oxide layer that's part of the metal itself, not a coating that can chip or flake off over time.
The charcoal-gray polished finish photographs accurately, but the wood and dinosaur bone inlays will vary slightly from the product images since both are natural materials — your ring's grain pattern and fossil coloring will be unique to the piece you receive. Expect the same dramatic contrast between dark metal and inlay, just with your own personal variation.
Black zirconium is generally considered hypoallergenic, making it a great option for people who react to metals like nickel or cobalt.
The inside of the band has gently rounded edges rather than sharp 90-degree corners, so the ring slides on smoothly and sits comfortably against your finger without digging in — even after a long day. Most guys notice the difference immediately compared to a standard flat interior.
Wipe the ring down with a soft, lint-free cloth to keep the polished zirconium looking sharp. For the wood and bone inlays, avoid prolonged soaking in water or harsh chemical cleaners — a damp cloth is all you need. Occasional exposure to water is fine for hand washing and showering, but don't let it sit wet.
