Custom Engravings

Engravings are one of our most popular customization options. Best of all, we do it for FREE. Yup, you heard that right. Engravings are free at the time of your initial purchase. You can even exchange* an engraved ring for another size or style if it’s not quite right. 

Over the years, we’ve done some pretty awesome (and hilarious) engravings for our Manly Bands customers. Whatever you want to put on your engravings, we’ll do it. Seriously. But if you’re looking for some inspo, here are some classic engraving ideas.

Engraving Ideas

• Meaningful dates (your wedding date, first date, first kiss, etc.)

• Song lyrics from your favorite song or first dance

• Quotes from your favorite movie

If you want to customize every last detail of your wedding band, our Build-Your-Own-Band (BYOB) option is the way to go. Inside our BYOB collection, you’ll find 15 different band options to choose from. Got an extra large finger? Bring that big boy over here – our custom bands go up to size 25. Want an extra-wide, beveled-edge gold band with a diamond inlay? Send it. Want a badass-looking distressed-finish black zirconium band? No problemo. The sky’s the limit.

Q: How much does building a custom wedding band cost?

A: The cost of creating a fully custom wedding band at Manly Bands varies depending on the customization options, such as material, metals, inlays, etc. However, all of our engravings (US only) are free at the time of purchase. To price out your fully custom band, use our handy BYOB tool or contact our Customer Service team for extra help. 

Q: How far in advance should I start planning? 

A: Great question! All in-stock rings take 1-2 business days to process and then ship free standard shipping (5-7 business days) unless you opt for expedited shipping at checkout. This timeline does not include any custom rings or engravings. Made-to-order and custom rings take approximately 3-4 weeks to process. Once completed, they’ll get shipped out with free expedited shipping (2-3 business days). 

TLDR: Give yourself at least 1 - 2 months to acquire your new badass custom wedding band.

Q: Can I personalize my ring after I buy it? 

A: Yes and no. Want to add an engraving to your ring? No problem. Send it back to us, and we’ll add your sweet little message for a small handling fee. Want to add an inlay or custom design to your ring after you’ve purchased it? That’s a little more tricky. While we can’t completely redesign your ring, we have an excellent returns and exchange policy. Check it out here.

Q: Does engraving work with all materials?

A: Unfortunately, no. Engraving is not compatible with certain materials due to their composition or design. We cannot engrave the following rings: rings with wood sleeves, rings with carbon fiber sleeves, rings with antler sleeves, and rings with Damascus steel sleeves. 

Q: Can I return or exchange personalized rings?

A: Engraved rings (US only) are considered customized rings and may NOT be returned. However, they may be exchanged for size once, within 30 days, with an applicable $30 restocking fee. Custom rings (BYOB) are also final sale and may NOT be returned. However, they can also be exchanged for size once, within 30 days of purchase.
