Black zirconium starts as a silver-toned metal and is heat-treated to develop a deep, charcoal gray surface layer that's harder than most coatings — meaning it resists everyday scratches without fading or flaking over time. It's lightweight for its strength, so you get a solid, substantial feel on the hand without the heft of heavier metals.
The inlay is sourced from actual Jack Daniel's whiskey barrels, so the wood has spent years in contact with Tennessee whiskey before it ever touched your ring. Running along either side of the band are eternity rows of .01 ct. round, color-enhanced natural black diamonds, giving the ring continuous bands of dark, faceted sparkle. Black zirconium is exceptionally tough and holds it shape — it develops its dark color through a heat-oxidation process that creates a hard, scratch resistant outer layer far more durable than plated metals. The wood inlay is sealed and protected within the channel, so it's shielded from most everyday bumps and scrapes.
The black zirconium reads as a deep charcoal gray in natural light — rich and dark, but with a subtle warmth that pure black metals don't always have.
