The Old No. 7
Product Details
Black zirconium starts as a silver-toned metal and is heat-treated to develop a deep, charcoal gray surface layer that's harder than most coatings — meaning it resists everyday scratches without fading or flaking over time. It's lightweight for its strength, so you get a solid, substantial feel on the hand without the heft of heavier metals.
The inlay is sourced from actual Jack Daniel's whiskey barrels, so the wood has spent years in contact with Tennessee whiskey before it ever touched your ring. Because it's real wood, expect natural variation in grain pattern and tone — no two rings will look exactly alike, and that's the point. Unique like you.
Running along either side of the band are eternity rows of .01 ct. round, color-enhanced natural black diamonds, giving the ring continuous bands of dark, faceted sparkle. These are genuine diamonds — not cubic zirconia — treated to achieve that deep, consistent black that complements the zirconium and barrel wood perfectly. It's striking in the best way possible.
The low domed design also features a rounded comfort fit sleeve that reduces the contact surface between the ring and your finger, making it noticeably easier to slide on and off.
The outer surface of The Old No. 7 carries a polished finish that catches light cleanly and gives the charcoal black zirconium a sleek, refined look — elevating the rustic warmth of the barrel wood inlay running through the center. And let's not forget about the subtle black diamond sparkle just as it hits the light - the result is a ring that reads as both tough and put-together.
Getting the fit right matters more than you'd think — a ring that's slightly off will be a daily annoyance. This ring is not resizable, so it's best to use our Manly Ring Sizer before you order so you know your exact size. Find your size.

The honest answers
Yes — the inlay is sourced from real Jack Daniel's whiskey barrels, not a wood-printed material or veneer. Because it's genuine barrel wood, every ring carries its own natural grain pattern, color variation, and character. No two rings will look exactly alike, which is exactly the point.
Black zirconium is exceptionally tough and holds it shape — it develops its dark color through a heat-oxidation process that creates a hard, scratch resistant outer layer far more durable than plated metals. The wood inlay is sealed and protected within the channel, so it's shielded from most everyday bumps and scrapes.
The black zirconium reads as a deep charcoal gray in natural light — rich and dark, but with a subtle warmth that pure black metals don't always have. The barrel wood inlay tends to show more grain detail in person, and the black diamond eternity bands catch light in a way that photos don't fully capture.
The comfort fit interior has a gently rounded inner surface rather than a flat surface, so it glides on and off more easily and reduces pressure on the sides of your finger.
Black zirconium is generally considered hypoallergenic, making it one of the best choices for anyone with metal sensitivities or a known nickel allergy. The oxidized surface layer also creates an additional barrier between the metal and your skin.
Wipe the ring down with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap — avoid soaking it or using harsh chemical cleaners, which can dry out the wood inlay over time. Keep it away from prolonged exposure to chlorine or bleach, and store it somewhere dry when not wearing it to help the barrel wood stay looking its best. Take it off before swimming or soaking. While the wood inlay is well sealed, wood will expand if exposed to water. Water submersion can result in the wood expanding and separating from the zirconium.
Both sides of the ring feature .01 ct. round natural black diamonds — color-enhanced, but genuine diamonds, not cubic zirconia or glass. They're set in an eternity pattern along both edges of the band, so you get continuous sparkle that catches light without overwhelming the barrel wood centerpiece.
Getting your size right matters more with a denser material like zirconium, so take time to meausre accurately at home with our Manly Ring Sizer before ordering. Find your size.
