What real customers say
Built to last. Loved for life.
BUILT FOR THE BACKCOUNTRY
Where pavement ends, this ring begins
Black zirconium holds its edge against anything the trail throws at it, while a Sequoia wood inlay brings in something no factory can replicate — a grain pattern as singular as the route you took to get here. The hammered finish isn't decorative. It's a preview of the life this ring is already dressed for.
WOOD THAT EARNED ITS RINGS
No two slabs of Sequoia tell the same story
Sequoia doesn't just look like the outdoors — it grew through centuries of it. The grain running through your ring is a cross-section of something that survived storms, droughts, and hard seasons long before you came along. That kind of history doesn't get manufactured. It gets cut, set, and worn by someone who understands what it means to outlast the conditions.
THE MAN BEHIND THE WHEEL
Some people plan routes — you ignore them
The Overlander isn't built for the guy who needs an itinerary — it's built for the one who pulls over when something looks interesting and figures out the rest later. Black zirconium that won't quit, wood pulled from one of the oldest living things on earth, and a hammered finish that already looks like it's seen a few hundred miles of questionable decisions. That's the point.
Product Details
The Overlander is built on a zirconium base — a naturally silver metal that undergoes a heat treated process which in turn changes to a dark charcoal gray color. Unlike plated or painted rings, this gray tone is part of the metal itself, so it won't chip or peel.
The hammered texture is applied across the entire outer surface, giving the ring a rugged, battle-tested look straight out of the box. Each facet catches light differently, so the ring has a dynamic, almost hand-forged appearance that pairs perfectly with the raw character of the wood inlay.
The Sequoia wood inlay is sourced from real wood, meaning the grain pattern and tone will never exactly match another. Natural color variation is inherent to the material — what you receive is genuinely one of a kind, not a printed or simulated effect.
The interior features a comfort fit sleeve — the inside is gently rounded rather than flat and square — so the ring slides on easily and sits lightly against your finger throughout the day. This makes a noticeable difference.
Clean the zirconium exterior with warm water and mild soap; avoid abrasive scrubbers that could scratch the hammered surface. For the Sequoia wood inlay, keep it dry and avoid prolonged soaking, harsh chemicals, or ultrasonic cleaners, as extended moisture exposure can cause damage to natural wood.
Ring size can vary with temperature, time of day, and diet, so it's worth taking a careful measurement before you order. Find your size using our Manly Ring Sizer for the most accurate fit.
Before You Buy
The honest answers
Yes — the inlay is genuine Sequoia wood, not a printed pattern or synthetic substitute. Because it's real wood, every ring has its own unique grain, color variation, and character. No two Overlanders will ever look exactly the same.
Black zirconium is tough — the dark color is created by oxidizing the metal itself, so it's baked onto the surface rather than painted or plated on. It resists scratching better than softer metals. However, deep scratches of scuffs are still possible and will show the natural silver tone of zirconium underneath.
If anything, it looks even better in person. The hammered texture catches light differently as you move, giving the ring a rugged, dimensional quality that's hard to fully capture in a photo. The contrast between the dark hammered zirconium and the wood inlay is especially striking up close.
A comfort fit band has a gently rounded interior instead of a flat, sharp inner surface, which means less friction and pressure against your finger throughout the day. Most people notice they forget they're wearing it — which is exactly the point when you're out doing something that demands your full attention.
Avoid prolonged soaking in water, harsh chemicals, and abrasive cleaners, as these can dry out or damage natural wood over time. A quick rinse and pat dry after heavy sweating or outdoor exposure is all you need.
Yes — black zirconium is considered hypoallergenic making it an excellent choice for anyone with sensitive skin or known reactions to metals like nickel.
The comfort fit design with its rounded interior gives your finger a little more breathing room than a standard fit ring, which helps when fingers swell from heat, exertion, or elevation changes. If you're concerned about fit during intense activity, be sure to swap out for the included silicone band which will flex with any swelling.
Getting an accurate measurement before you order makes all the difference. Use our Manly Ring Sizer to measure your finger properly and account for daily fluctuations in ring size. Find your size before you order.
